Marete is a perfect venue for small events, conferences, and workshops. It is located in Borrowdale, Zimbabwe, a 20-minute drive from the city centre. The venue is set in a beautiful garden with a calming African ambiance. The name Marete is the Shona word for the flamboyant velvety Maroon flower of the Mamvee Tree. Its flowers sprays from August to September and its nectar attracts hordes of insects, birds and Charaxes butterflies. Revered as a sacred tree in Zimbabwe, the Mamvee's shade has long served as a traditional gathering place, fostering connections and fostering a sense of community.
Marete offers a variety of spaces to accommodate different events. The main hall “Rete” can accommodate up to 100 people, whilst the smaller room “The Tasting Room” can accommodate up to 12 people (small dinners), a marque can also he pitched in the spacious garden. The venue provides its own catering and bar, making it easy to cater for events.
